Teacher of Maths

We are a heavily oversubscribed 11-18 rural school with excellent facilities. We are a happy, forward-thinking, creative and collegiate staff body and you will be joining the school at an exciting stage of its development.

To be successful you will need to:

·      Be able to teach mathematics across the whole ability range in KS3 and KS4.There is the potential to teach mathematics at KS5 for a candidate with suitable experience

·      Have skills in communication, collaboration, listening, adaptability, empathy, and patience.

Possess outstanding teaching ability

·      Think creatively to anticipate and solve problems

·      Embody the values of ‘Achievement through Caring’

·      Have high expectations of yourself and be a role model to others

·      Play a pivotal part in the Maths Department

Our Maths team works collaboratively to enhance maths teaching. Raising levels of achievement in maths and increasing appreciation of the power and wonder of maths. The department thrives on delivering a knowledge rich curriculum in well-resourced classrooms.

The successful applicant will be part of a team that has a variety of specialised teachers, all offering support and guidance to each other, which creates a positive and hardworking ethos. They go above and beyond to ensure all students achieve.
